Our Story
The Carpenter’s Hands began with a shared vision in August of 2020, officially opening our doors in October of 2021. This business is the culmination of decades of diverse experience and a deep-seated passion for serving others through craftsmanship and care.
Ken: A Lifetime of Craftsmanship
Ken’s journey in home repair spans a lifetime, encompassing virtually every phase of construction and maintenance. From the foundational work of rough framing to the intricate details of finish work, his hands have shaped countless homes. His expertise extends beyond the structure itself, delving into landscape design, irrigation maintenance, and gardening. He’s a true all-arounder, skilled in comprehensive building maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical, and heating and air conditioning. Whether it’s an RV, manufactured home, traditional framed house, multi-family housing, or even commercial property, Ken’s extensive experience touches every facet of the industry.
Gail: Designing Spaces, Cultivating Peace
Gail brings her own rich tapestry of experience in all types of housing. She possesses a remarkable gift for functional design, finding joy in seamlessly blending outdoor elements with harmonious colors and soft textures to create truly peaceful havens. Her experience in property management and real estate provide a practical understanding of what makes a house a home. Beyond her professional skills, Gail is also a Bible College graduate and a licensed Minister, underscoring the heart of service that defines The Carpenter’s Hands.
Our Shared Calling
For over 40 years, Ken and Gail have built a life together, their individual experiences weaving into a powerful synergy. This interwoven journey uniquely qualifies them to be “The Carpenter’s Hands”. They believe they are called to care for those they serve, not just by repairing homes, but by touching hearts. Their mission is to reflect the ministry of Jesus, mending what is broken in homes and, in doing so, reflect the love of God the Father and His desire to mend what is broken in our lives.
Because we want to make a difference
Personally, we support and partner with a number or different ministries, but the one that most aligns with our own hearts and goals as a business is called What Matters Most. Founded in 1998 by Ivan and Kimberly Tate, What Matters Most rescues orphans and widows and provides them with food and housing and so much more. It is our heart to provide for our own widows and seniors in our own community, to be the hands of our Savior and minister to those in need, to mend what is broken, both in homes and in hearts. Because of this a portion of our proceeds from our business go to support “What Matter’s Most”. As you allow us to serve your needs, you too, are sowing seeds into the lives of countless others through Casa Angelina. Thank you for being a Blessing!
